What brought you to join Equilibrium Wealth?
I was seeking to broaden my commitment to my client relationships by providing more in-depth financial planning in addition to portfolio management. To do this, I needed a partner that offered a platform that could provide me with professional operations support for client needs in both the US and Israel. I discovered that Equilibrium Wealth offers a platform to seamlessly manage accounts for Israeli-based citizens and US expats. Equilibrium Wealth was also aligned with my approach to financial planning and investing and has the same level of commitment to providing personal service to clients. I have found a home for my clients at Equilibrium Wealth.
What do you enjoy most about working with clients?
I enjoy knowing that I am providing my clients with a holistic service that touches all areas of their financial lives. I grew up in the US and have lived in Israel for many years. I utilize my experience and training in both markets to help my clients navigate their financial lives which often bridge the two countries.
What is most important to you in building meaningful client relationships?
I believe that developing trust is the strongest foundation you can have in a client relationship. This trust begins by being completely transparent and connecting with people on a personal level instead of treating them like just another number. With open communication I can understand the nuances of their financial needs and offer creative out-of-the-box thinking as part of the financial planning that I do for them. Most of our initial planning focuses on what their goals are and not on how much money they have.
What are your areas of specialization?
I understand the Israeli financial system and the implications for tax and financial planning for cross-border investing. There are a lot of issues, such as treatment of retirement accounts, risk management and insurance, and currency exposure, to take into account when returning to Israel. I take a holistic view and consider all the different elements to create a financial plan that can include globally diversified, multi-currency portfolios (US $ and shekels).
How do you give back to the community?
I support the fund-raising efforts of my local synagogue. I have recently become involved with providing pro-bono planning services to widows of Israeli soldiers.
What is one key takeaway that you would like to share?
I serve as a single point of contact and act as a quarterback to help clients coordinate everything from cross-border investing to multi-generational legacy and estate planning. I don’t just manage their portfolio; I help them identify and reach their life’s goals.
