What brought you to join Equilibrium Wealth?
Although I am an Israeli citizen, I have worked for a number of large investment banking firms in the US including Merrill Lynch and Prudential Bache. Some of my Israeli clients who were living and working in the US would decide to move back to Israel. Upon relocating back to Israel, these clients had to terminate their relationship with these larger companies. As more of my clients moved back to Israel, I began to look for a company that would enable me to manage clients’ US assets including 401(k)s, IRAs, taxable accounts, and various types of insurance. Joining Equilibrium Wealth coupled with my experience in managing both US and Israeli investments allows me to serve my clients’ needs clients in both countries.
What do you enjoy most about working with clients?
I enjoy working with cross-border clients to help them find the right investment solutions for their unique circumstances. Working at Equilibrium Wealth gives me the opportunity to look at how a client’s portfolio can be structured to take advantage of investment opportunities in both the US and Israel.
What is most important to you in building meaningful client relationships?
Moving back to Israel after living and working in the US can be a daunting experience for many people. They often need help understanding the financial planning implications of making this move. By looking at the big picture and then drilling down into the details, I help clients navigate the complexities of cross-border investing and the resulting tax implications. I’ve found that clients place a higher value on gaining a high level of trust that I will understand and help them meet their goals, than concern about specific investments.
What are your areas of specialization?
Many of my clients are technology professionals who are in the middle of their career. While they are building wealth in the US, many plan to return to Israel at some point. Being a part of the Equilibrium Wealth team has uniquely positioned me to support them in both the US and Israel. Additionally, when my clients return to Israel, I have had the opportunity to work with their parents who are interested in investment opportunities outside of Israel.
How do you give back to the community?
I support the Israeli-American Council (IAC) to help build an engaged and united Israeli-American community. I also reach out to professionals in the Silicon Valley area via social media to provide educational information about investments and insurance.
What is one key takeaway that you would like to share?
I have people’s best interests at heart. With this philosophy, my clients understand that my goal is to serve them honestly and with the highest level of integrity.
